‘Travelling to a Better Future’ have your say on Welsh Government’s new plan
Travelling to a Better Future is Welsh Government’s 2011 plan to improve life for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people in Wales – it covers things like sites, education, health, rights and discrimination.
In October Welsh Government have published the update of this plan and called it ‘Enabling Gypsies, Roma and Travellers’ – Welsh Government want to know what you think about it and any other ideas you would like to add to it.
You can read the new plan here and can send in your own response online. There will also be several community meetings just for people from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities to come along and give your views and ideas. We will keep you updated on these and the first ones planned are:
North Wales Monday 11th September 11 – 1pm Welsh Government Offices: Llandudno Junction, Sarn Mynach, Llandudno. LL31 9RZ
South Wales Monday 16th October 11 – 1pm in Welsh Government Offices: QED Centre, Treforest Industrial Estate, CF37 5YR
Pembrokeshire Thursday 26th October 1-3pm at Monkton Priory C.P School, St. Martins Road Monkton SA71 4LS
There are more meetings planned and Welsh Government will also be out and about visiting sites and homes around Wales up until the end of the consultation on the 21 December – we will keep you posted.
