North Wales Regional Forum

Location: North Wales

Travelling Ahead’s Regional Forum in North Wales is for young Gypsies and Travellers ( 11 – 19 years) who live anywhere in Flintshire, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Conwy and Ynys Mon.

At the moment its usually young people from Flintshire and Wrexham counties so please get in touch if you would like to join us. We meet twice a year and the events are organised with the help of the Young Peoples Planning Group.

The last meeting was in February 2017 held at Deeside Leisure Centre with 19 young people from across North Wales  – we had a great day with young people meeting the Police and Crime Commissioner team and using our Rights Tool Kit  – with ice-skating in the afternoon. Thanks to Flintshire and Wrexham Traveller Education and Youth Services for bringing young people along

The next event is being planned for Autumn 2017  – if you would like to come along then get in touch!

The North Wales Regional forum includes the ITD Group, who are the Inspirational Travellers Dimension – have a look at the film they made on their views on hate crime and racism here (below) and their page here

The North Wales Regional Forum is supported by staff from our local partners the Traveller Education Services in Flintshire and Wrexham and by the Flintshire Youth Service.
